Well, hello 2017!
We’re halfway through January now and it’s time to take a look at how your New Year’s Resolutions are coming along. If your resolution was to save a little money, we’ve found some useful tips for you!
Could you save yourself money by getting a water meter? Get clean and green and weigh up your options with Martin from MSE here. There are many different tools on this blog from ways to use less water to different gadgets (some are free) to help reduce your usage/spending. How about saving money on your energy? Are you getting ready for the summer? Starting to plan your next holiday? The Money Advice Service offer some great advice for saving up (they even have hints and tips too). They start at the very beginning – paying cash or credit card, setting a budget and saving effectively. – check it out.
I know we said it in a previous post but don’t be afraid to try out different brands. Just because some brands are cheaper (like stores own brands) doesn’t mean they don’t do the job. Making a small change in what sticker is on the label could help you increase your savings. Another thing to bring in the savings is having a shopping list (that you stick to).
